Dear Readers,
I know that as a mother I would want to keep my children safe and secure 24/7 but I know that is impossible but there are places like Amber Watch Foundation that gets messages out to our schools and children about staying safe and what to do in case of emergencies. Than there is Artists such as Aly & Aj, that trying to put the word out using text messages and you can register for this at wirelessamberalerts.org
Here you can customize your text messages for certain areas or others too. I customize my area in Minnesota but also in New Jersey and Puerto Rico because I have family and friends in those areas. That's what I like about it. For those who have Myspace you can go to Seventeen Magazine
There you can get codes to customize you website with info that people can see and click on.
Seventeen Magazine suggest that you keep a record of your fingerprints in a safe place that your friends or family can find or know where to look. I suggest make (2) two because it would be easier to give a copy to your parents. You can do this by getting a Ink Pad and pressing your fingers to it than to the paper labeling all the fingers.
Thank you Seventeen for your continues support for our teens and young children.
Here you will hear all about the gossips, news, crazy articles etc. Anything you can think of you might be able to find here....

Liberty's Surprise!!!

After everyone left, Liberty just wandered over to Jack’s bed and smiled down at him. Jack pulled her to him and gave her a passionate kiss. Liberty moans his name against his lips and started to lie next to him. They were interrupted with a knock on the door and some girl started to yell at them. She looked at Jack and the girl went to grab Liberty; when Marisol came through the door and grabbed her and pushed her to the floor. What the hell? Liberty was like who is this chick and what is your drama? Looking at her. Jack tried to sit up but started screaming in pain. The girl got up and was like “why are you with my man?” Liberty said, “your man? I don’t think so!” They both looked at Jack and Marisol was like “I give you 2 minutes to start explaining before Liberty walks out for good.” Jack was trying to explain the whole thing when Liberty got up and didn’t hear one word he said and walked. The tears that were coming down non-stop and it started too pour outside. She turned the corner and kept walking. Marisol looked at Jack and nodded her head. She ran out to find Liberty but nothing. Maria came running down the stairs and was like “where did she go?” “I don’t know, Maria; I don’t know!”
Liberty couldn’t see with the tears and rain in her face. She told herself she would not miss him or anything else. She will go home and live her life in New York. After all the lies he has told her, Liberty doesn’t want anything to do with him or New Jersey. She called Marisol and told her to bring her luggage to the airport; she’s going home now. Marisol said sadly, “I made plans Liberty, please stay. The family hasn’t seen you and will be sad if you leave.” Liberty did miss her family but she was in too much pain to be in a party mood or see anyone. “Sorry, Mari but I can’t, I need to go back home.” Mari met her at the airport and they exchanged hugs and tears.
Liberty got home from an awful flight and was too tired. The answer machine light was flashing. She looked at it and turns to her room to go to bed. The phone kept ringing all night. Liberty just took it off the hook and cried herself to sleep.
The next day, Keila stopped by her house and used the spare key to let herself in. “Libby, Libby!” called Keila to Liberty from the stairs. Liberty just turned over and pulled the covers over her head. Keila brought some coffee and a chocolate donut. “Get up, Libby! He doesn’t deserve you, sweetie.” Keila pulled the cover from her head and gave her the coffee. “Drink up, Libby! You need to get some air and let’s go find the other girls.” Liberty eyes were swollen and red. “I can’t, Keila I want to be left alone, said Liberty “I need sometime alone and don’t want to talk about anything.” Keila called back up and told Liberty that she called reinforcement. “So move it downstairs unless you want us all to fit in the room and lay with you.” Liberty got up and went into the bathroom to freshen up. The doorbell rang and Marisol yelled that she was there with some strawberry cheesecake ice cream, Liberty’s favorite. Keila looked at Liberty and said, “I didn’t call her.” Than Kate came in with a box of drama movies and tissue box, Teresa ran up the house behind Kate with a grocery bag of everyone’s favorite food plus Monica came with cookie dough and chocolate chips. Liberty just cried from all the friends and there thoughtfulness.
The girls all crashed in her living room with blankets and the food. They watched movies and cried together and talked, more like gossip. The phone was still off the hook and Jack called and called. His mother came through the door and asked him what was wrong. He told her what happen and that he couldn’t let Libby walk out of his life again. She looked at him and was like you have to give her time and you need to recuperate to go after her. Jack told his mother that Libby meant the world to him and that he messed up once before and that he had to make it right somehow. “I don’t even know why that old Hag came her anyway!” Jack’s mom turned to her son and told him to send her flowers and love letters. She figured he can’t move but he can write or call her but she more likely won’t answer his calls anyway. She knew he will make it right somehow because she wanted them to get married since the first time she saw them together when they were younger. God, how things workout! She said to herself.
The next day, Liberty was watering her plants outside when a delivery truck stopped in front of her townhouse. The man walked up to her and asks for Liberty. She said it was she and the man gave her the bouquet of roses of different colors. He handed her the envelope, which was thick. He turned and walked back into his truck. Keila came running out and said, “What do you have there?” Liberty turned and said, “ This came from Jack and I don’t know if I should open it.” Kate ran out saying, “Yes, yes open it!” Liberty gave the roses to Kate to hold and just trembled with the uncertainty of what’s in the envelope. The others by that time came to the stairs to find out what was going on. Marisol was creeping up to her sister and told her maybe she should take that upstairs in the bedroom to read alone. Liberty just nodded to her and ran upstairs to sit by the window to read.
Dear Libby,
How are you doing? I know that you must be in pain because I can feel how hurt and sad you are from here. We have always been connected since that first time we made love in my bedroom at my mom’s house. When are soul clashed and we felt like we couldn’t breathe or get enough of one another. I know I have hurt you but she is not my girlfriend but she is my daughter’s mother. I don’t know if you remember her. I don’t care to remember her at all. Hopefully that puts a little smile back on mi cara. Baby, I never meant to hurt you or bring you such pain but she lied and I was trying to explain it to you but you left Libby. Why? I love you more than my life and all the world. You take my breath away when you speak my name and the way you look at me makes my knees go weak. Your lips so soft, pink and pouty that it takes me to another world with you. Believe me, when I say I love you and no one else ever. I have since I first saw you, my love. Please call me when your ready to talk to me again and hopefully you do, love.
Your love, heart, man, friend, lover and one-day your husband,
Jack
P.S. Look in the roses, you will find a box in there. I love you always and forever, Mi Cara!
Liberty turned to catch all the girls at the doorway crying and all happy. “Libby, you getting a proposal how exciting”, said Kate.

Just In from AKC All Pet Lovers Read This!!!!

AKC Cautions Pet Owners to Keep an Eye on Fido At Home and On the Road
The American Kennel Club® warned pet owners and breeders about an alarming rise in dog thefts in recent months and offered tips on keeping pets safe with an appearance on NBC’s Today Show earlier this month. From parking lots to pet stores and even backyards, more dogs are disappearing. In the first three months of 2008, the AKC has tracked more than 30 thefts from news and customer reports, versus only ten for all twelve months of 2007.
Media reports have chronicled the escalation of these “dog-nappings” from all around the country. Incidents have included armed robbers entering a breeder’s home, tiny puppies being stuffed into purses at pet stores and most recently, purebred pets being snatched from cars in parking lots and even shelters.
“The value of pets in people’s lives has been on the rise for a long time and now we are seeing thieves trying to capitalize on this. Whether they seek to resell the dog, collect a ransom or breed the dogs and sell their offspring, thieves seem to be attuned to the increased financial and emotional value pets have in our lives,” said AKC spokesperson Lisa Peterson. “Losing a treasured family pet is devastating to the owner.”
“Criminals look for weaknesses and exploit them. They know pets can’t protect themselves, so that means owners need to be alert,” said Lt. John Kerwick, a law enforcement K-9 handler and the President of the U.S. Police Canine Association, Region 7. “Be wary of anyone who approaches you and asks too many questions about your dog or where you live. This is a red flag that they may be out to snatch your pet.”
Peterson added that “These ‘dog-nappers’ are misguided and naïve. They’re stealing living beings, not jewelry that can be pawned. Plus, it’s unlikely that they can sell the dogs for high prices without proper registration papers, and these inept criminals are not realistically going to collect a ransom. Caring for a dog -- and especially breeding -- is a time consuming endeavor that requires a lot of knowledge. Thieves will find themselves with a frightened and confused animal that needs a lot of care.”
The AKC offers the following advice to prevent your “best friend” from being a target of a crime:
At Home
Don’t let your dog off-leash – Keeping your dog close to you reduces the likelihood it will wander off and catch the attention of thieves. A Saint Bernard that had wandered away from his owner in Nebraska was snatched up right off the road.
Don’t leave your dog unattended in your yard – Dogs left outdoors when no one is home for long periods of time can be potential targets, especially if you live in a rural area and the fenced-in yard or dog runs are visible from the street.
Keep purchase price to yourself – If strangers approach you to admire your dog during walks, don’t answer questions about how much the dog cost or give details about where you live.
Breeders need to be aware of home visits by potential puppy buyers – Criminals posing as would be “puppy buyers” have visited breeder homes to snatch dogs, while other homes have been burglarized when the owner was away. From Yorkies in Los Angeles to Bulldogs in Connecticut, thieves have targeted young puppies of these highly coveted breeds.
On the Road
Never leave your dog in an unattended car, even if it’s locked – Even if you are gone for only a moment, an unlocked car is an invitation for trouble. Also leaving expensive items in the car such as a GPS unit or laptop will only invite thieves to break and possibly allow the dog to escape.
Don’t tie your dog outside a store – This popular practice among city dwelling dog owners can be a recipe for disaster. Reports have surfaced of such thefts in Manhattan. If you need to go shopping, patronize only dog-friendly retailers or leave the dog at home.
Be vigilant when entering or leaving establishments or venues catering to dogs such as grooming salons, veterinarians, doggie day care or hotels –Be aware of your surroundings, such as slow moving vehicles, or people watching you and your dog. Carry pepper spray as a precaution and, if possible, don’t walk alone late at night or stay in a well lit area.
Recovery
Protect your dog with microchip identification – Collars and tags can be removed so make sure you have permanent ID with a microchip. Keep contact information current with your recovery service provider. Several pets have been recovered because of alert people scanning and discovering microchips. For more information and to enroll your pet in a 24 hour recovery service visit www.akccar.org.
If you suspect your dog has been stolen – Immediately call the police / animal controlin the area your pet was last seen.
Have fliers with a recent photo ready to go if your dog goes missing – Keep a photo of your dog in your wallet or on an easily accessible web account so that you can distribute immediately if your pet goes missing.

Racism in Public Schools!!!!
I hope one of my friends can help me.
I have this problem currently in Minnesota. I feel like my daughter who is the only Puerto Rican in the school has been discriminated by NJH in Burnsville. On Tuesday, April 8 her cell phone was taken by a teacher because it fell out of her pocket and she was rushing to turn it off since the fall was the cause of it being turned on. Now, I was okay with the fact they took it but I was not okay with the answers I was getting when just a couple of weeks ago it happen to another student and she got her phone back the same day. Mind you the parent was White. They told me that they was going to keep the cell phone for five days and sometime next week they will return it, but of course this was unacceptable to me. I wanted the property returned to me as soon as possible. I even talked to the Principle Dr. Slater that I am requesting the phone back and she told me NO because she wanted to talk to the teacher who took it. I was upset because what was the purpose for her to hold my phone just to talk to a teacher.
"Nothing!!"
Then I let it slide for one day and showed up at the school the next morning, when we entered the room she immediately closed all the doors behind us like she didn't want anyone to hear what we were talking about. Mind you, there was no one there but my daughter, Dr. Slater and myself. When she said that all the teacher only saw was a light and took the phone without asking what she was doing or nothing. Now she did not once say that she saw my daughter text or call anyone. Dr. Slater proceeded to call my daughter a liar about the phone falling out her pocket and told me that if I wanted to phone back that I had to disenroll my child from her school. She said this and than turned around and told the Superattendent that she never said this to her at all. When there was 2 people standing there. She yelled at me in person and over the phone. I want something done but what can I do or how should I proceed......
Please do anyone have any ideas please let me know
Very frustrated

Cruel Beat Down
There apparently was 8 teens who decided to video themselves beating up another teen called Victoria "Tori" Lindsay from Polk County, Florida. Have in mind should all teens be charged as an adult because they planned these girl's kidnapping and assault or do you think they should be charged as a teenager? Let me know. I want to know what you point of view is on this. I am just alittle curious on why didn't the girl fought back or grab something from that house and hit them with it or run through the back since there was another way out from the video and run out of there??????

Liberty to the Rescue (Part2)

Marisol and Liberty came up with a plan to get into the hospital to see Jack. Lucky for them they knew a few people who work there plus a cousin who was a doctor. Liberty waited for the plan to come into play with Marisol and their cousin, Maria. She walks pacing the halls when all of a sudden; she saw her ex-mother-in-law come down the hall. They saw each other was Liberty turned to walk the other way when she bumped into her sister. “Ouch! Watch it Lib!” said Marisol. Then the evil witch saw them and started to laugh at them and said “Such ditzy girls.”
Marisol wanted to choke her and Liberty just wanted to leave. Maria said, “What is taking you guys so long come on!” She jumped up and followed her to his room. Jack was lying there all sweet and angelic like. Liberty didn’t want to wake him up so she just sat there next to him quietly. Marisol was on look out and Maria went to find his status. Liberty brought the pictures he has been waiting for her to bring and some other things. She fell asleep on the cot next to him and Jack turned over to his surprise. She looked like a goddess curled up. She seems to be glowing from where he was looking at her. “Liberty, Liberty, wake up, baby!” He shook her until she got up. She was like, “what time is it? Where did everyone go?” Jack laughed. He was so happy to see her and soon kiss and hold her. She got up and turned away from him. Liberty got up and ran to the bathroom to brush her teeth and freshen up. She came out to find that her sister and a few of his family were walking in the room. Jack was really upset now. He told his mom that I came from out of town to visit him and his mother notice the book bag and cot next to his bed. She was like, “what is this stuff and why is it here?” Jack told her that Liberty stood the night and kept him company. She turned around and said “Liberty! Little Libby? No where is she?” Liberty came from around the curtain and said hi to everyone. She ran to her and gave her a hug. That felt really good to see his family and hers too. Marisol was smiling and gave her a wink. She was relief and content. Jack wanted to jump out of bed and hold her close by him. She sat next to him and they all talked. Maria walked in and was greeted by so many people and she ask to talked to Liberty privately with Marisol too. She explains to them that everything was fine with his surgery and he needs to recuperate now. Liberty was relief and happy that Jack was going to be fine. Maria turned to leave and say bye to everyone else, she walked down the hall to her clients. Marisol and Liberty looked at each other and said “Mission Completed.”
